What we offer

  • Review of existing processes to achieve greater productivity and lower costs of manufacture
  • Troubleshooting plant problems and optimizing plant performance
  • Evaluating optimization ideas utilizing process engineering tools
  • Provide the plant based technical expertise in generating and facilitating change including commissioning new plant and equipment
  • Progress problem solving initiatives to establish root cause and implementation of appropriate solutions
  • Conduct all activities in accordance with Company’s Quality and Safety Policies
  • Contribute to the preparation of project proposals, process development plans and schedules and verification test plans
  • For some projects, take the management responsibility in terms of preparation, coordination, installation and commissioning.
  • Liaise closely with the R&D, Manufacturing, Operations, Quality, and SHE departments on optimization of processes
  • Communicate regular and accurate updates on project deliverables to the project leader and/or Company management. Communicate risk of divergence from plan to the project leader
  • Maintain current working knowledge of the key international standards, regulations and regulatory guidance that govern the Chemical and Pharmaceutical industries
  • Perform other assigned tasks as directed by Supervisor or Head of Function
  • Any other and additional duties required as the role evolves

Who we are looking for

  • 4-5 years plus related experience in a Chemical or Pharmaceutical - Process Development or Manufacturing Environment or Mechanical engineering
  • Minimum of a primary degree in Chemical Engineering
  • Experience in LEAN manufacturing - desirable
  • Proficiency in use of desktop software applications such as MS office
  • Excellent planning and coordination skills
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team with good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage risk in striving to meet objectives
  • Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail
